Portal Report

The Portal Report is an embedded AWS QuickSight dashboard for portal-level activity. It opens from Metrics, Portal Report and needs the usage reporting entitlement enabled for your account.

The Portal Report shows portal-level activity for your API Portal. It is an embedded AWS QuickSight dashboard, so it renders a QuickSight dashboard inside the page rather than charts built into the dashboard itself.

What is the Portal Report?

An embedded AWS QuickSight dashboard for portal-level activity. Apiable fetches a signed QuickSight embed URL and renders that dashboard in the page. Because the report lives in QuickSight, its charts can change there without a dashboard release.

How do you open the Portal Report?

Open the Metrics group in the left navigation and choose Portal Report. The page is at /portal-report. With usage reporting enabled, it loads the embedded QuickSight dashboard.

  1. In the dashboard, expand the Metrics group.
  2. Choose Portal Report.
  3. With usage reporting on, the embedded QuickSight dashboard loads in the page.

Why does the Portal Report show a placeholder?

Because usage reporting is off. If your plan does not include it, or it is not enabled yet, the page shows an example report image instead of live data, with a message that your plan does not support advanced reporting and a Go to Billing button.

To load live data, enable the usage add-on in Billing and connect your API gateway logs. The report draws on the same usage events that feed metered billing and per-subscription consumption.

What charts are in the Portal Report?

The charts are defined in AWS QuickSight, not in the Apiable dashboard. This page describes the report's purpose, portal-level activity, rather than a fixed chart list, because the embedded QuickSight dashboard owns the specific visuals and can change them independently.
